*The September Core Group meeting was held on September 4th, at LJ Palmer's home.

==Comments on the August 25th Club meeting:==

==August Membership Report:==
*48 Members attended the August Club meeting.
*Club membership increased to 150 as of the end of August.
*There were two new members signed up at the Club meeting.

==Calendar of Events:==
*The September program will be "GoogleVerse." This is a look at all things "Google" with emphasis on Google Docs, Google Chrome, Google Search, etc. LJ Palmer will make this presentation.
*Please note that LJ is doing most of the program presentations. We need to give him some help. If you have any experience with any part of a program, please volunteer. You don't have to do the whole program. Two or three presenters works very well. Let's try to take some of the load off of LJ.
*The October program will be "Holiday Labels." A presenter has not yet been named.
*The November program will be "Freeware and Shareware." A presenter has not yet been named.
**The November Club meeting will be on December 1st, to accommodate the Thanksgiving Holiday.
*The December Club meeting will be our annual "Q&A, White Elephant & Pizza" social meeting.

==Newsletter:==
*CW Mitchell reminded the group of the legal statements that are required for the October issue of the News Letter.
*We continue to need help on a method of adding bar codes that identify zip codes to the labels used for mailing the Newsletter. Dr Dave has agreed to take this on as a background task, but he can use help. Anyone with Filemaker expertise should contact Dr Dave and volunteer their services.

==Ongoing Issues:==
*Dr Dave has suggested that a Club Web Master may be the wrong way to handle the changes to our Web Site. Dr Dave's suggestion is that the changes to the Web Site can be made by the Core Group members using the "WordPress" software. This suggestion was discussed and met with approval from the Core Group members present. The next step will be to familiarize the Core Group with the "WordPress" software.
*It is time to begin planning next year's Club programs. All suggestions for 2011 programs should be directed to Chuck Mulvey, using the Core Group's email address. Be specific, no generalities. Remember that our programs have less than an hour for presentation so be specific. No generalities or vagueness. And include a recommended presenter. Chuck will tabulate the suggestions and notify the Core Group for discussion at the next meeting.
*We continue to need volunteers to help with:
**Louise on refreshments.
**Someone that can develop members polls.
**Someone to develop a "Club Policy Guide" for members web pages.
*Bob Goodman has asked for help on adapting Skype hardware to our present audio system. Lj Palmer and Jim Pernal agreed to see if they would be able to assist Bob.
*Lj's two instruction groups; "Kitchen Beginners" and "Using the IPad" continue. Time and dates of the meetings are noted on SBAMUG email. Remember, you must RSVP to reserve space in the class.
*Updating of the Club database to Filemaker 10 continues. New software will cost approximately $300.
